Endocrinologist Discusses the Harms of Fatty Foods for Breakfast
Endocrinologist Maria Kaloshina warned that consuming fatty foods for breakfast can cause heartburn, nausea, a feeling of heaviness, and contribute to weight gain and cardiovascular diseases.

Endocrinologist Maria Kaloshina from the Vidnoye Clinical Hospital spoke about the negative consequences of consuming fatty foods for breakfast. According to her, such a diet can lead to unpleasant sensations, including heartburn, nausea, and a feeling of heaviness in the right side.
The main problem with a fatty breakfast is that fats, especially hard-to-digest animal fats, are quite difficult to digest and absorb in the morning when the body's digestive system is not yet fully active. This leads to increased strain on the liver and stomach, causing discomfort and worsening well-being.
Moreover, regular consumption of calorie-dense fatty foods in the morning contributes to unwanted weight gain and increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Kaloshina emphasizes that while fatty foods contain important vitamins and minerals, they are not suitable as a standalone breakfast.
The specialist recommends balancing breakfast by including a combination of proteins, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. For example, porridge can be enriched with a teaspoon of butter, and unsweetened yogurt or milk can be added to muesli or granola. Meat lovers might enjoy baked ham, which is a source of complete protein and B vitamins.
Thus, it is important not to completely exclude fats but to combine them wisely with other foods so that breakfast is both healthy and tasty, providing energy without causing discomfort.
