On November 17-18, 2025, the XIX International Congress of Dietologists and Nutritionists "Optimal Nutrition is the Foundation of a Long and Active Life" was held, discussing innovations in nutrition science, food quality and safety, children's nutrition, and the fight against obesity.
On November 17-18, 2025, the XIX International Congress of Dietologists and Nutritionists is taking place in Moscow under the motto "Optimal Nutrition is the Foundation of a Long and Active Life," dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Federal Research Center for Nutrition and Biotechnology" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
The event is held in person at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel at Europe Square, building 2. The congress gathers over 2000 experts — leading scientists, doctors, representatives from ministries, the food industry, biotechnology, and public organizations from Russia and other countries.
The scientific program of the congress includes more than 40 platforms, including symposiums, round tables, sessions, and educational schools. The main topics of discussion include:
- innovations in nutrition science, nutrigenomics, and nutrimetabolomics;
- quality and safety of food products, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks;
- the role of dietetics in the prevention and treatment of diet-related diseases;

Among the organizers and leaders of the congress are RAS academicians Viktor Tutelyan and Dmitry Nikityuk, who head the Federal Research Center for Nutrition and Biotechnology. The opening of the event featured a speech by the Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Viktor Cherepov, who noted the high level of scientific and practical significance of the congress for strengthening Russian nutrition science.
The congress facilitates the exchange of experience in modern nutrition science and dietetics, as well as the updating of national priorities in optimizing the nutrition of the population of Russia.
