5. Aerobic exercise and sleep-related outcomes in children and adolescents: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
About the study.
The aim of the study was to assess the impact of aerobic exercise on sleep quality in children and adolescents through a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. The study analyzed 14 randomized controlled trials.
Results.
Aerobic exercise was associated with improved sleep-related outcomes (SMD = 0.91, 95% CI: 0.40-1.43), however, significant heterogeneity was observed (I2 = 91.5%) and the 95% prediction interval ranged from -0.98 to 2.80.

The aim of the study is to analyze the adaptation of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) to mechanical loads, as well as the factors affecting its structure and function. Data on the mechanobiology of the ACL in both animals and humans are discussed.
Results.
The ACL adapts to mechanical loads through changes in collagen expression, matrix remodeling, and angiogenic signaling interactions. Greater regulation of type I collagen is observed in men compared to women. Studies show that endurance and resistance training increase the stiffness and strength of the ligament.
