The aim of this study was to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. The study compared anthropometric indices, metabolic profiles, and quality of life.
Results.
Women in the mindfulness intervention groups showed significant reductions in BMI, body weight, and waist circumference, as well as preliminary improvements in insulin resistance. Levels of total testosterone and clinical hirsutism also improved. Specific quality of life significantly improved despite no significant changes in overall depression and anxiety scores.
