To assess possible posture violations, perform a simple exercise against the wall.
Stand with your back to the wall at a distance of 4–5 cm, with your feet hip-width apart.
Slowly lean back while maintaining balance, and pay attention to which part of your body touches the wall first:
- If your shoulders and buttocks touch simultaneously — your posture is correct;
- If only your buttocks touch first — your pelvis is overly tilted back;
- If only your shoulders touch first — your pelvis is tilted too far forward, and your back is strained;
- If the touch occurs first only on one side of your body — balance is disrupted;
- If you mainly feel the wall with your back — there is slouching.
