5. Results of the program "Balanced Mood for Moms": online mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for preventing relapse of perinatal depression in the USA - a two-group, single-arm, pragmatic randomized clinical trial.
About the study.
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the Mindful Mood Balance program in preventing depression relapse among perinatal women compared to usual care. The study was conducted on a sample of pregnant women with recurrent depression in the USA.
Results.
The Mindful Mood Balance program significantly reduced the risk of depression relapse compared to usual care: 33% of participants receiving MMB and 44% of participants in the usual care group experienced relapse (hazard ratio 0.74; p=0.045).
4. The impact of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on the psychological and physical health of cancer patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
About the study.
The study aimed to evaluate the impact of mindfulness-based therapy on the psychological and physical health of cancer patients. Randomized controlled trials comparing MBCT with control groups were included.
Results.
MBCT led to significant reductions in psychological distress, depression, and anxiety, as well as reductions in fatigue, improvements in quality of life, and increased mindfulness skills.
3. Comparative effectiveness of different exercise regimens on inflammatory markers in heart failure patients: pairwise and network meta-analysis.
About the study.
The aim of this systematic review was to identify the most effective exercise regimen for reducing pro-inflammatory markers in heart failure patients. The study included comparisons of various training regimens, such as aerobic, resistance, combined training, and Tai Chi/Yoga.
Results.
Physical training was significantly more effective in reducing IL-6, TNF-α, and CRP compared to control. Resistance training and Tai Chi/Yoga were found to be most effective in reducing IL-6, combined training and aerobic training for reducing TNF-α, and combined training for reducing CRP.
2. The impact of workplace health promotion programs on the quality of life of female workers: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
About the study.
The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of workplace health promotion programs in improving the overall health and quality of life of female workers. It included 20 randomized controlled trials involving 3962 women.
