Soak green lentils (200 g) in cold water overnight.
Drain the water and boil the lentils in meat or chicken broth (1 l) with onion (1 pc), salt, and spices to taste. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes until soft, then reduce the heat and simmer for another 5 minutes.
For a heartier soup, you can add Shirataki noodles (50 g).
Before serving, sprinkle the soup with chopped herbs (20 g).
