Chicken Skewers with Bacon in the Air Fryer
Chicken breast gives you plenty of protein, while bacon adds fat and helps the meat stay juicier in the strong air fryer heat. The recipe is almost carb-free, filling, and does not need a complicated marinade. It makes a simple keto skewer dinner when you want something meaty, fast, and more flavorful.
Soak the skewers ahead of time. Slice chicken breast fillet (320 g) into long thin strips and pound them lightly so they roll more easily. Season with salt (2 g), black pepper (1 g), and smoked paprika (2 g).
Place a strip of bacon (60 g) on each piece of chicken, roll tightly, and cut into convenient pieces. Thread the rolls onto skewers so they keep their shape.
Arrange the skewers on the air fryer rack and cook for 15 minutes at 180 C. Turn them after about 6 to 7 minutes so the chicken and bacon brown more evenly.
Serve the skewers right away. If your model has only one heating element, you can lower the temperature slightly and extend the time a little so the breast does not dry out before the bacon colors properly.
