Cabbage steaks with spicy braised chicken – a hearty keto dish made of two parts: tender chicken that simmers for a long time until the meat separates from the bones, and spicy roasted cabbage as a side dish.
Preparing cabbage steaks
Cut the cabbage (800 g) crosswise into steaks about 1 cm thick. Try to leave part of the core so that the slices hold their shape.
Salt the cabbage, sprinkle with paprika (10 g) and turmeric. Grease a baking sheet with duck fat (15 g), place the cabbage steaks on it, and lightly brush the tops with a brush.
Cover the cabbage with a sheet of parchment and bake at 180 °C for 20-30 minutes. At the end, you can remove the parchment for a few minutes if you want a more browned surface.
Preparing braised chicken
